WMOs Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) comprises of an harmonized observation network. GAW was founded in 1992, and currently coordinates activities and data from 29 Global stations, more than 400 Regional stations, and around 100 Contributing stations operated by Contributing networks. Find stations in the GAWSIS map! GAW members are entitled to apply to GAWTEC expert courses arranged annually.

Institute of Earth Sciences is one of the department of Saint-Petersburg State University (SPBU). Institute has 26 departments on several specialisation: Hydrometeorology, Ecology and Natural Management, Geology and Geophysics, Geochemistry, Earth Materials, Hyman Geography, Land Management, Physical Geography etc. Institute successfully combine scientific studies and education. 15 Bachelor, 16 Master and 3 PhD students programs are realized on Institute from 55,000 Programs of SPBU. Scientists and students can use field stations, Research Park of SPBU, funding for international scientific projects and qualified expertise of university staff.
